• Brian Boru (941 - April 23, 1014 ) was born near the city of Killabe , in modern County Clare in Ireland and became King of Munter in 976 , and in 1002 promoted to the position of High King of all Ireland ( English High King of All Irelande Irish Árd Righ Gaidel Éirinn ) ; on church records appears still referenced , in addition to King of Ireland , as Emperor of Scots ( Rex et Imperator Hiberniae Scottorum ) .
• Brian Boru died on Friday , April 23, 1014 , during the Battle of Clontarf in which it faced the Vikings . Without their heroic leader, Ireland fell into chaos and anarchy dynastic , and never again be united under the rule ofa Irish . However , his fame continued to be so great that his descendants , the O'Biens subsequently became one of the leading families of the country .
• Even today the national symbol of Ireland , converted in the coat of arms is the Brian Boru Harp , preserved in Trinity College Dublin, and is said to have belonged to the Irish sovereign. It is this same harp shown on the reverse of the Irish euro coins .
• As part of a national program of events to commemorate the millennium, Dublin City Council is pleased to bring you your FREE Battle of Clontarf Festival over the Easter weekend ( Saturday 19 and Sunday, April 20, 2014 ) . St. Anne's Park Raheny will be transformed into a Viking village.

• Brian Boru ( 941 – 23 de Abril de 1014) nasceu próximo da cidade de Killabe, no moderno condado de Clare na Irlanda e tornou-se Rei de Munter em 976, tendo 1002 ascendido ao cargo de Grande Rei de toda a Irlanda ( em inglês High King of All Irelande Irlandês Árd Righ Gaidel Èirinn);  nos registros eclesiásticos surge ainda referenciado, para além de Rei da Irlanda, como Imperador dos Escotos ( Rex Hiberniae et Imperator  Scottorum) .
• Brian Boru morreu numa Sexta-Feira Santa, 23 de Abril de 1014, durante a batalha de Clontarf em que defrontava os Vikings. Sem o seu heroico líder, a Irlanda caiu no caos e na anarquia dinástica, e nunca mais voltou a ficar unida sob o domínio deum Irlandês. No entanto, a sua fama continuou a ser tão grande que os seus descendentes, os O’Biens tornaram –se subsequentemente uma das principais famílias do pais.
• Ainda hoje o símbolo nacional da Irlanda, convertido em brasão de armas, é a Harpa de Brian Boru, conservada no Trinity College de Dublin, e que se diz ter em pertencido ao soberano irlandês. É esta mesma harpa que figura no reverso das moedas de euro irlandesas.
• Como parte de um programa nacional de eventos para comemorar este milênio, conselho Municipal de Dublin tem o prazer de lhe trazer a sua GRÁTIS Batalha de Clontarf Festival sobre a semana da Páscoa, ( Sábado 19 e domingo 20 de abril de 2014). St. Anne Parque Raheny será transformado em um Viking Village.
